What Makes Our Magnets Better

Written by

-classic-magnet-demo.jpg

Ideaman Inc. is proud to be the only manufacturer of flexible molded magnets in the United States. While there may be other magnets on the market, none can stand up to the quality and care of our custom magnets. Since the early '90s, our magnets have been beloved by consumers as souvenirs and by businesses as custom promotional items. Since then, the processes have continued to be honed and optimized for the betterment of both durable and effectiveness.

With Ideaman custom fridge magnets, quality matters most...

Quality in the art design. Our artists have been in the magnet game for decades and can bring your vision to life, whether it's a simple logo or a completely brand new illustration.

Quality in the manufacturing process. The raised 3D detailing makes our magnets literally stand out from the boring flat magnets. And with the entire piece being magnetized, rather than just having the back coated, our magnets last longer.

Quality in the customer service. From the initial concept to the final creation, our team will work with you to ensure your magnets are exactly what you want.

St. Louis Arch Magnets

With the Gateway to the West just a stone's throw away from Ideaman's main office, we were excited at the opportunity to create souvenir magnets for the St. Louis Arch.

Ideaman designed and produced one magnet featuring the Arch's former logo with a swirling script typeface and the rising arch. We created a magnet using St. Louis' iconic Old Courthouse with the Arch looming in the background. Another magnet featured a colorful depiction of the city beyond the Arch and the mighty Mississippi River in the foreground. The fourth magnet combined illustration and clear, crisp 3D text to provide background on the national monument.

About the Gateway Arch

As our informational magnet states, the 630-foot tall stainless steel St. Louis Arch is the tallest national monument in the U.S. It was completed in 1968 from the designs of architect Eero Saarinen

Visitors from all over the world flock to the Arch to explore each level: the subterranean visitor center, the grounds on the banks of the Mississippi, and high in the air from the viewing deck at the top of the Arch.

Ideaman ready to bring your unique vision to life too and help you create a unique custom magnet. Contact us today to get started.

If arbitration is initiated, the arbitrator will decide the rights and liabilities of you and the Company, and the dispute will not be consolidated with any other matters or joined with any other cases or parties.  The arbitrator shall have the authority to grant motions dispositive of all or part of any claim.  The arbitrator shall have the authority to award monetary damages, and to grant any non-monetary remedy or relief available to an individual under applicable law, the AAA Rules, and the Terms.  The arbitrator shall issue a written award and statement of decision describing the essential findings and conclusions on which the award is based.  The arbitrator has the same authority to award relief on an individual basis that a judge in a court of law would have.  The award of the arbitrator is final and binding upon you and the Company.
                • Waiver of Jury Trial. THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL AND STATUTORY RIGHTS TO GO TO COURT AND HAVE A TRIAL IN FRONT OF A JUDGE OR A JURY, instead electing that all claims and disputes shall be resolved by arbitration under this Arbitration Agreement.  Arbitration procedures are typically more limited, more efficient and less expensive than rules applicable in a court and are subject to very limited review by a court.  In the event any litigation should arise between you and the Company in any state or federal court in a suit to vacate or enforce an arbitration award or otherwise, YOU AND THE COMPANY WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO A JURY TRIAL, instead electing that the dispute be resolved by a judge.
                • Waiver of Class or Consolidated Actions. All claims and disputes within the scope of this arbitration agreement must be arbitrated or litigated on an individual basis and not on a class basis, and claims of more than one customer or user cannot be arbitrated or litigated jointly or consolidated with those of any other customer or user.
                • Confidentiality. All aspects of the arbitration proceeding shall be strictly confidential.  The parties agree to maintain confidentiality unless otherwise required by law.  This paragraph shall not prevent a party from submitting to a court of law any information necessary to enforce this Agreement, to enforce an arbitration award, or to seek injunctive or equitable relief.
                • Severability. If any part or parts of this Arbitration Agreement are found under the law to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such specific part or parts shall be of no force and effect and shall be severed and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
                • Right to Waive. Any or all of the rights and limitations set forth in this Arbitration Agreement may be waived by the party against whom the claim is asserted.  Such waiver shall not waive or affect any other portion of this Arbitration Agreement.
                • Survival of Agreement. This Arbitration Agreement will survive the termination of your relationship with Company.
                • Small Claims Court. Nonetheless the foregoing, either you or the Company may bring an individual action in small claims court.
                • Emergency Equitable Relief. Anyhow the foregoing, either party may seek emergency equitable relief before a state or federal court in order to maintain the status quo pending arbitration.  A request for interim measures shall not be deemed a waiver of any other rights or obligations under this Arbitration Agreement.
                • Claims Not Subject to Arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, claims of defamation, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and infringement or misappropriation of the other party’s patent, copyright, trademark or trade secrets shall not be subject to this Arbitration Agreement.
                • In any circumstances where the foregoing Arbitration Agreement permits the parties to litigate in court, the parties hereby agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within Netherlands County, California, for such purposes.

    The Darkness Magnets

    Creepyworld Magnet The Darkness Magnet

In early 2018, the Ideaman team discovered a new world for magnets. A world full of darkness, monsters, and terror. This was the world of Scream Parks - theme parks of haunted houses, escape rooms, and other scary attractions.

Much to our excitement, the St. Louis area is the nation's number one destination for all things frightening. St. Louis is home to the country's largest scream park, Creepyworld, and the world's biggest Halloween trade show.

Ideaman started out developing magnets for Scarefest's top two scream parks, Creepyworld and The Darkness. For Creepyworld, Ideaman designed a magnet with a terrifying witch character holding a broom while conjuring up a bright green ball of fire. The Darkness magnet design features a creepy, purple robed grim reaper character holding a large scythe.

After those two magnets caught the attention of people in the industry, Ideaman was invited to attend Transworld's Halloween & Attractions Show. The trade show is the only one of its kind in the world, where haunted houses, corn mazes, paintball fields, retail stores and more meet to network and show off the year's new products and exhibits.

    About Creepyworld and The Darkness

Creepyworld is America's biggest and longest haunted screampark. The park boasts 13 haunted attractions in one location and adds new ones every year. Some of the themes include a cemetery, hospital, prison, carnival, world war zombie quarantine, a Christmas Krampus horror story, and more.

At 24 years, The Darkness is one of the longest running haunted houses in the country. It's been featured on the Travel Channel, History Channel, A&E along with other TV programs and also print publications. The Darkness includes two floors of fright, the 3D Terror Visions, a monster museum, small escape rooms, laser tag, and a lot more.

These St. Louis attractions are features of a haunted empire created by Larry Kirchner. Along with Creepyworld and The Darkness, Kirchner runs a trade magazine called Hauntworld, as well as The Abyss at Lemp Mansion in St. Louis.

    Dr Pepper Museum Magnets

    Dr Pepper Museum Magnets

Im a pepper Magnet Dr Pepper building Magnet Dr pepper clock Magnet Dr Pepper old logo Magnet

Dr Pepper is the oldest running soft drink in the United States, and Ideaman was happy to put together a series of magnets for the nonprofit museum dedicated to the brand.

The "I'm a Pepper" magnet comes from Dr Peppers most famous and successful advertising campaigns, "Be a Pepper". The campaign featured commercials starring Michael Jackson, Tanya Tucker, Popeye the Sailor Man and more. Shirts with the popular slogan could be found in J.C. Penney stores across the US. And now it's been ressurected as a 3D molded magnet.

The Dr Pepper clock magnet is also based on a classic ad campaign. The magnet design features "Old Doc", a trademark character from the '20s and '30s. The bolded 10, 2, and 4 on the clock is a throwback to the advertising slogan, "Drink a bite to eat at 10, 2, and 4."

The third magnet is an old school Dr Pepper logo. It features the classic well-known typeface along with a sunburst that's didn't catch on as part of the comapny's branding.

The last magnet focuses more on the museum than the soft drink brand. The Dr Pepper Museum building is an icon in Waco, Texas, and the surrounding communities. The building shown is one of the first Dr Pepper manufacturing plants.

    About the Dr Pepper Museum

At the Dr Pepper Museum, visitors can learn the complete history of the oldest solf drink brand in America. One of the most popular exhibits is the Liquid Laboratory, where visitors can learn about the smells, taste, and ingredients of the drink, as well as ways to cook with it.

The museum is located within the old Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company plant, which, as mentioned above, was the very first building dedicated to manufacturing Dr Pepper.

In 1988, the Dr Pepper Company donated the building to the nonprofit group that still runs it. The museum opened to the public and has been a popular attraction ever since. It's home to a collection of more than 300,000 artifacts and is recognized as the only nonprofit museum dedicated to a soft drink industry in the country.

    NASCAR Hall of Fame Magnets

    NASCAR Hall of Fame Magnets

nascar hall of fame building Magnet Nascar north carolina Magnet Speed and shine Magnet

Ideaman developed a number of magnets for the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors drivers, crew chiefs, owners, and broadcasters who have made significant contributions to one of America's favorite sports.

The first magnet produced was in the shape of North Carolina, home of the Hall of Fame. Charlotte was chosen as the location of the venue due to the history of racing in and the huge number of famous drivers from the state. The area, which includes nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway, is referred to "NASCAR Valley", with 70+% of motorsports employees located there.

Ideaman also created a magnet with the phrase: "Before There Was Speed, There Was Shine." The magnet refers to NASCAR's history and how moonshine bootleggers helped give rise to the sport. During Prohibition, runners would drive in cars that were seemingly ordinary, but under the hood they were anything but. When Prohibition ended, the runners used the souped-up cars to race and NASCAR was born.

The final magnet is features an illustration of the NASCAR Hall of Fame complex. The Hall of Fame is only one part of the complex, which also includes the Crown Ballroom, a 100,000+ square foot expansion; the NASCAR Plaza Office Tower, a 19-story office building primarily hosting NASCAR and NASCAR Productions; and the NASCAR Hall of Fame Parking Garage.

About the NASCAR Hall of Fame

Located in Charlotte, NC, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is a top destination for both fans and non-fans of the sport since it was opened in May 2010.

The high-tech venue is home to historical artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a state-of-the-art theater, a restaurant, a broadcast studio and more. A fan-favorite and focal point of most visits is Glory Road, a banked ramp to the second floor that showcases historic cars and tracks.

Currently, 45 individuals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. There have been 32 drivers, five owners, four promoters, and three crew chiefs given the prestigious honor.

    Powell's Books Magnets

Powells Horse Logo Magnet Powells Owl Magnet Powells Sun Magnet

Ideaman developed a series of custom fridge magnets for Powell's Books. Located in Portland, OR, Powell's is the largest independent bookstore in the United States.

The first magnet has a retro aesthetic, featuring the sun design that can be found on other Powell's Books souvenirs. According to the website, the design brings them back to summer camp in the '70s, where they could "find a soft patch of grass under the sun, and read like crazy."

The second magnet is of an illustration of an owl perched atop two books. Besides the easy rhyme, an owl is an appropriate choice since they are commonly associated with Athena, the Ancient Greek goddess of wisdom and courage.

The last magnet is a little outside-the-box. The magnet plays on tagline of Powell's City of Books,"The Legendary Independent Bookstore", and connects it with a design more typically seen with racehorses.

    About Powell's Books

Powell's Books is a chain of bookstores in Portland. As one of the city's top tourist spots, the headquarters, Powell's City of Books, is said to be the world's largest independent new and used bookstore.

The City of Books is Powell's biggest draw and biggest store location. The bookstore sits on an entire city block and is home to roughly one million books.

Since 1971, Powell's has grown substantially from a bookstore to one of Portland's top attractions. In addition to selling new and used books, the store hosts hundreds of author events each year, as well as writing workshops, book clubs, children storytimes and more.

    Two Roads Brewing Magnets

Two Roads Logo Magnet Road Not Taken Magnet Two Roads Map Magnet Two Roads Van Magnet

It's no surprise that Ideaman loves craft breweries. So, we were especially excited to work with Two Roads Brewing Company. Since its inception in 2012, Two Roads has been one of the fastest growing craft breweries in the United States.

Ideaman developed a logo magnet for Two Roads featuring its two pointing hands graphic and signature yellow, blue and white coloring.

The next magnet shows of the brewery's home state pride by combining the two pointed hands graphic with an outline of the state of Connecticut.

We created a text magnet that played on the brand's "road less traveled" mantra, reading: "Here's to Taking the Road Less Traveled."

The fourth magnet is one that we are particularly proud of. This fresh and colorful magnet features the classic 1960s Two Roads panel van.

    About Two Roads Brewing Company

Two Roads Brewing was founded in 2012 by a group of friends lead by season craft beer veterans. The brewery quickly gained popularity due to it's extensive lineup of unique beer styles.

The name is taken from the brewery's philosphy of taking the "road less traveled". When it comes to the business, the people, and the beer, Two Roads prefers to take the road less traveled and having some fun.

Two Roads has garnered a lot of positive recognition; it was named one of the ten best breweries in the US by Paste Magazine, and received gold at the Great American Beer Festival for its Belgian Lambic style ale.
